The Eye Referral Center (ERC) is a non-stock and non-profit corporation, owned and managed by the Glaucoma Research Foundation. It was created on January 4, 1980 as a response to the growing need for specialized eye care. ERC was the pioneer ambulatory medical facility in the Philippines, exclusively designed to address the eye care needs of patients. It is housed in a seven-story building in the heart of Manila, overlooking historic Luneta Park.
The company was founded by an alliance of dedicated doctors, many of whom are recognized and honored as visionary leaders of Philippine Ophthalmology, due to their lifetime achievements and records of service.
Fellowship training programs in Glaucoma and Retina subspecialties have produced graduates who are among the leading authorities in their respective fields.
Decades after its inception, the Eye Referral Center continues to provide the finest in professional and ethical eye care, at affordable rates that do not compromise quality service. It continues to upgrade its diagnostic and surgical equipment, to ensure that excellent care of all types of eye disease is provided to all patients.
